The Royal Harwich at Woolverstone,
founded in 1843, is one of the oldest established clubs in
the country with over 900 members and provides for a full
range of sailing activities to suit all ages covering Dinghies,
Keel Boats, Cruising and Racing Yachts |
The club has a spacious well-equipped
clubhouse and lawns with commanding views across the beautiful
River Orwell. Full bar and catering facilities throughout
the sailing season and at weekends over the winter months,
during which an extensive social programme is provided. |
Visiting members of other clubs
are always welcome with short term and overnight pontoon berthing
available. |

Founded in 1972, the club
now has over 700 members including racers, sail cruisers and
power boats. Its clubhouse is the former Cromer light vessel
LV87. |
The club runs popular offshore
IRC racing in the Spring and Autumn, with occasional club
handicap racing throughout the year and its members compete
enthusiastically in regional series and national/international
events further afield. The Squib fleet races throughout the
season, and the “New Wave” junior section is active in dinghy
training. There is a busy cruising and social programme. |
The clubhouse is open every
lunchtime, and every evening, except in winter. Visiting yachtsmen
and members of other clubs are always made welcome. |

Based in the heart of Arthur
Ransome's “Secret Water” - the Walton Backwaters - now an
SSSI. Within easy reach of the town of Walton and rail connections
to Colchester and London. Mooring alongside the club quay
is welcome at high water, and in the Yacht Basin for an overnight
or longer stay. |
We have around 700 members
enjoying a wide range of activities: Cruiser racing, cruising
in company, dinghy racing, exploring and training. With a
busy programme of social events throughout the year.
The club welcomes members of other yacht clubs. The
bar and catering are open at lunchtime every day of the year
and most evenings throughout the year |
